United Way Women United is a global, growing force of 75,000+ women dedicated to creating a world of opportunity – for everyone.  Women United works to mobilize the power of women to strengthen the lives of women and children in the community – they give, advocate, and volunteer.  Today, Women United has grown into a national network of members in 120 U.S. communities.

On September 19, 2019 the women of McCormick Barstow’s Modesto office participated in Women United of Stanislaus County’s 22nd Annual Power of the Purse – a fundraising event where they enjoyed lunch and listened to keynote speakers along with 700 other inspiring and empowering women in the community.  The Annual Power of the Purse has become the most successful fund-raising effort of its kind with a concept that recognizes women as a powerful force. With more members giving more money than any other similar women’s group, nationally the United Way Women United has raised in excess of $700 million since its inception, and the members of the Women United of Stanislaus County are a proud to be a part of this effort.

Like Women United, McCormick Barstow recognizes the power of women, and is a proud supporter of this amazing organization and all the work it does in our communities!
