Prior to joining McCormick Barstow LLP, Ms. Ciavatta graduated at the top 10% of her class at Detroit Mercy and was the managing editor of University of Detroit Mercy Law Review and a junior member of Moot Court. She received book awards for her academic achievements in Contracts, Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Advanced Advocacy, Access to Justice, Bankruptcy, and Litigation Technology. She attended law school on a full ride academic scholarship.

In law school, Ms. Ciavatta externed for the honorable Nancy G. Edmunds at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Ms. Ciavatta focuses her practice on commercial litigation, employment law and professional liability. Her experience includes researching and preparing comprehensive legal memoranda, drafting motions for both state and federal courts in Michigan, preparing discovery as well as taking and defending depositions.
