Additionally, he has been successful in approximately 50 Arbitrations, and has handled civil trials of all types. The trials Mr. John has first and second-chaired have ranged considerably and include:
– A six-week complex product-defect matter in which Mr. John examined over 15 witnesses on the stand and at the conclusion after the Plaintiff requested over $40 million in damages, the jury awarded zero in damages to the Plaintiff. (Hassanali v. Custom Fiber Glass Manufacturing Co. and Valley Camper Sales).
– A high-profile personal injury lawsuit which occurred at the Palace Station Casino involving a notorious celebrity and significant media interests in which after the verdict was rendered and Offers of Judgment were enforced, the Plaintiff ended up owing Mr. John’s client a significant sum of money in attorney’s fees and costs (Fromong v. O.J. Simpson et al.).
In addition to the above high-profile matters, Mr. John has also tried multiple smaller civil jury trials and multiple civil bench trials involving allegations of personal injury. Moreover, Mr. John has appeared before the Nevada Supreme Court on multiple occasions and has successfully argued at and settled appeals at Nevada Supreme Court Settlement Conferences.
