ExperienceMr. Lozano served on active duty as a lieutenant in the U.S. Navy Judge Advocate General’s Corps from 1994-1998. He began his practice with McCormick Barstow in 1998 and is a member of the Insurance Coverage and Bad Faith Practice Group.
Mr. Lozano’s work has included the rendering of coverage opinions, the defense of bad faith suits on behalf of insurers, first party defense work, plaintiff bad faith work, and first party fraud investigations. His trial experience at McCormick Barstow has included the successful co-defense of a multi-million dollar mold contamination/toxic tort suit brought against an insured, and the defense of insurers in bad faith trials in federal court. Mr. Lozano has also briefed appellate cases for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeal, California District Courts of Appeal, and the California Supreme Court.
Mr. Lozano is admitted to practice law before all California State Courts, all U.S. District Courts of California, and the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit. Mr. Lozano is sworn and certified under the Uniform Code of Military Justice to represent accuseds at military courts-martial.
