ExperienceMr. Carroll has practiced with McCormick Barstow exclusively since graduating from law school in 1984. Mr. Carroll’s practice has been devoted to the field of business litigation in both the state and federal courts. A substantial portion of Mr. Carroll’s practice has been devoted to the representation of both financial institutions and borrowers in connection with a wide variety of contexts, including lender liability, foreclosures, lease disputes, mechanic’s liens, and employee benefits, as well as the field of franchise and distributorship relations.
In addition, Mr. Carroll is experienced in the area of land use regulation through his representation of municipalities, developers, and other large-scale property owners in connection with litigation regarding environmental and entitlement issues. A significant portion of Mr. Carroll’s practice is devoted to the representation of contractors as well as owners in construction disputes.
Mr. Carroll is admitted to practice law before all California State Courts, U.S. District Court for the Eastern and Northern Districts of California, and U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
